Australian Adam Scott rose to a career-high world No.6 in golf's latest rankings released on Monday.
Scott has climbed one spot from seventh to be behind only the sport's "Big Five" - major winners Vijay Singh, Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson and Retief Goosen.
Countryman Stuart Appleby is up from 17th to 16th, while Peter Lonard has jumped from 25th to world No.23 after finishing in a tie for third at the Colonial PGA event in Texas on Sunday.
Singh continues to hold down the No.1 ranking from Woods.
