Tallis gets head slam charge reduced
Brisbane captain Gorden Tallis had some success at the National Rugby League judiciary in Sydney but will still miss this weekend's game against West Tigers.
Tallis pleaded guilty to a head slam on Bulldogs winger Hazem el Masri last Sunday.
But his defence team was able to convince the panel to reduce the charge from grade two to grade one, meaning just one week's suspension.
The Broncos presented evidence of other head slam incidents that went unpunished.
