Storm refuses to write the Broncos off
Brisbane captain Gorden Tallis says the Broncos have limped into the NRL finals, but Melbourne halves Matt Orford and Scott Hill aren't taking the bait.
The Storm will meet the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night in the second qualifying final.
Some critics have already written Brisbane's premiership aspirations off following a heavy loss to Penrith and a 34-all draw with wooden spooners South Sydney.
But the Broncos, who wrapped up third spot last month, have kept their heavy artillery in storage until the finals.
They should have Darren Lockyer (ribs), Shaun Berrigan (shoulder), Tonie Carroll (shoulder), Scott Minto (neck) and Craig Frawley (hamstring) available for Tallis' final home match before retirement.
"They have been cruising," said Orford, who was one of four key players rested for the Storm's 30-28 loss to Manly at Brookvale Oval.
"I'm sure once they get their big play-makers back next week they're going to be all guns blazing.
"I think they've just got too much experience not to make an impact in the finals.
"They've got probably the best coach in the world (Wayne Bennett).
"If anything, he gets those guys up for important games. They'll be up there, no doubt."
