Dravid fined for ball tampering
Indian vice-captain Rahul Dravid was fined 50 per cent of his match fee for ball-tampering after his side's victory over Zimbabwe in the one-day cricket clash at the Gabba.
International Cricket Council (ICC) match referee Clive Lloyd charged Dravid under clause 2.10 of the ICC's code of conduct, which deals specifically with ball-tampering.
It is understood third umpire Peter Parker initiated the charges after cameras picked up Dravid rubbing a cough lolly on to the white ball during Zimbabwe's innings.
Dravid, who scored a match-high 84 runs, attended a hearing following the day-night game, which India won by 24 runs after bowling out Zimbabwe for 231.
