Dellacqua to fly Aussie flag
West Australian Casey Dellacqua will be the only Australian in singles action on the fifth day of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park.
Dellacqua, 22, faces almost certainly the biggest match of her career so far when she takes on 2006 Australian Open champion Amelie Mauresmo in a third round encounter at Rod Laver Arena on Friday night.
Dellacqua admitted she was nervous preparing for her moment in the spotlight, but also said it was a good time to come up against the French 18th seed.
"I've watched a bit of her play and she obviously has struggled a little bit and obviously she has even admitted that herself, so I guess if you're going to play her, now's the best time and I'm in great form," Dellacqua said.
"But I'm going to go out there having a lot of respect for her, she's obviously won here before, so I'm definitely not going to take her lightly, that's for sure."
Dellacqua earned her shot at Mauresmo by downing 15th-seeded Swiss Patty Schnyder in the second round on Wednesday.
World No.1 Justine Henin will play the opening match of the day on Rod Laver Arena when she meets Italian Francesca Schiavone.
Third-seeded Serb Jelena Jankovic plays Frenchwoman Virginie Razzano.
In the men's draw, Spanish second seed Rafael Nadal will meet Frenchman Simon Gilles.
In Friday night's men's feature match, American sixth seed Andy Roddick has a third round clash with German Philipp Kohlschreiber.
