Geelong's Johnson booked for speeding
Geelong forward Steve Johnson is again in big trouble, with police booking the AFL star for speeding.
The Cats announced on Thursday afternoon that Johnson's car was impounded after he was clocked at 128km/h in a 50km/h zone.
Team-mate Shannon Byrnes was also in the car at the time of the incident.
The club added that alcohol was not involved.
Geelong suspended Johnson for the start of last season because of an alcohol-related incident and the club was close to sacking him.
But he appeared to turn around his career, eventually winning All-Australian selection and then the Norm Smith Medal in Geelong's historic grand final win.
