Selwood's AFL premiership jumper found
The jumper worn by midfielder Joel Selwood in Geelong's AFL grand final win last month has been found among a $30,000 stash of sporting memorabilia.
Selwood and teammate Jimmy Bartel had their jumpers stolen in the days after the September 26 premiership win over St Kilda.
While Bartel's guernsey is still missing, police have recovered Selwood's jumper, a bag and equipment belonging to premiership ruckman Brad Ottens and a limited edition photograph of Geelong greats Polly Farmer and Gary Ablett.
A number of framed and signed Geelong jumpers were also found in the early morning raid on an address in the Geelong suburb of Bell Post Hill on Saturday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave McTaggart said a 43-year-old Bell Post Hill man is helping police with their enquiries.
"Other than an interest in their jumpers we don't believe he has any connection to the Geelong Football Club," Sen Sgt McTaggart said.
Police said no charges have been laid.
