Kiwis beat Bangladesh to win series
New Zealand eased their way to a comfortable 102-run win over Bangladesh in the second one-day cricket international.
Having scored an imposing 5-335, New Zealand reduced Bangladesh to 6-181 after 43 overs when the arrival of rain meant a premature end to the game and the implementation of the Duckworth-Lewis scoring system.
The result left the home side with an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Peter Fulton led the charge for New Zealand at McLean Park with 83 while opener Jamie How scored 74 before the team's bowlers took charge as Bangladesh at no stage threatened an upset although Aftab Ahmed impressed in making 54.
Kyle Mills was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4-40.
The final match is in Queenstown on Monday, ahead of a two-Test series starting in Dunedin on January 4.
