Blacklock on fire against Brisbane
St George Illawarra winger Nathan Blacklock continued his match-winning return to the National Rugby League at WIN Stadium, but the Dragons have no plans to step up negotiations with the freakish talent.
Blacklock put all his brilliant skills on show - save for the somersault and backflip - against the Broncos, scoring one try and having a hand in two others as the Dragons won 32-16.
In doing so he became the leading pointscorer in the history of the joint venture club, surpassing Wayne Bartrim.
The former Test winger has now scored 78 tries in 93 first grade games for St George Illawarra, including eight in his past four games, but he'll have to wait in line for a new contract as the Dragons finalise the futures of Shaun Timmins and Mark Gasnier.
"There's not much Tingha (Blacklock) can't do," coach Nathan Brown said.
"You saw it tonight with the pass he put on for (Mark) Gasnier.
"He's a wonderful player and obviously again tonight if he didn't play we would have lost.
"He's scored seven tries in three weeks and he scored one tonight, passed one and kicked for one.
"He's just a different type of winger, there's no doubt about it."
Blacklock created the first of Gasnier's two tries with a short kick behind the Brisbane line and had a hand in the Dragons' second to Ben Hornby.
