St George Illawarra have signed young North Queensland forward Leeson Ah Mau on a two-year deal from 2012.

Ah Mau was the Cowboys' rookie of the year in 2010 after making his NRL debut for the Warriors the previous season.

The Auckland born 21-year-old prop or second-rower has played 14 games this year for the fourth-placed Cowboys in a total of 34 NRL appearances.

He joins Wests Tigers back Tim Moltzen, Warriors prop Jeremy Latimore and Melbourne centre Chase Stanley as Dragons recruits for 2012.

St George Illawarra fullback Darius Boyd (Newcastle), prop Jon Green (Cronulla), back Ratu Peni Tagive (Sydney Roosters) and backrower Jack Bosden (Sydney Roosters) will all leave the club after this season.
