NRL fines Furner $5,000 for quizzing refs
Canberra coach David Furner has been fined $5,000 by the NRL for approaching match officials at halftime during Sunday's 40-24 loss to North Queensland.
The Raiders led 22-0 midway through the first half before the Cowboys scored three quick tries in the ten minutes leading up to the break.
A statement from the NRL said Furner approached the officials as they left the field and questioned several decisions they made in the opening 40 minutes.
Canberra have five days to respond to the breach notice.
