Webster helps Hull KR tame Bulls
Former Melbourne centre Jake Webster was among the scorers as Hull KR saw off Bradford 46-18 to leapfrog them on the Super League ladder on Sunday.
After a Kyle Briggs try in the fourth minute for the Bulls, centre Kris Welham set Rovers on their way to victory with two tries in as many minutes.
Ex-Canterbury utility Blake Green also crossed for Hull before Bradford wing Gareth Raynor pulled a try back, but Webster scored soon afterwards to get Hull going again.
Michael Dobson and replacement Liam Watts both touched down either side of half-time for Rovers and, despite Andy Lynch grabbing a try for the Bulls, Welham's third and one from Peter Fox sealed victory.
Meanwhile, former Australian international Matt King scored twice as Warrington Wolves crushed Terry Matterson's Castleford 62-0 to remain top.
The one-time Australian Test star grabbed a try in each half, while former Wests Tigers skipper Brett Hodgson also touched down and kicked seven goals.
Ex-Canberra Raider Joel Monaghan chipped in with a try of his own for the Wolves and Lee Briers and Simon Grix followed King's lead in scoring two tries apiece.
Tony Smith's troops are now top courtesy of points difference, having scored 519 in their 14 games so far this season - well over 100 more than any other side.
Level with them on 20 points are Huddersfield, after former St George Illawarra Dragons coach Nathan Brown's side hammered injury-hit St Helens 40-18.
Eorl Crabtree led the way with two tries as the Giants inflicted the Saints' heaviest defeat for five years with Danny Brough, Kevin Brown, Michael Lawrence, Scott Grix and Joe Wardle all also crossing.
Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Matty Ashurst and Ade Gardner replied for St Helens but they were no more than consolations for former Australian hooker Royce Simmons' side.
To make matters worse, former Newcastle prop Josh Perry, who has previously been sidelined with a groin strain, suffered a suspected broken knuckle to add to an already lengthy casualty list.
Wigan also secured a big win as ex-Wests Tiger Pat Richards weighed in with 26 points, including two tries, in the Warriors' 54-6 hammering of Harlequins.
New Zealand international Thomas Leuluai also grabbed a double, Ryan Hoffman crossed in the first half and ex-Knights winger George Carmont was on the scoresheet as well.
Former Manly prop Kylie Leuluai crossed for Leeds as they extended their unbeaten run to five with a 30-6 win over the Catalan Dragons.
Teenager Zak Hardaker scored twice and Ryan Hall and Rob Burrow once, while Ian Henderson got the only try for the Dragons, without former Newcastle halfback Scott Dureau through injury.
Michael Witt scored a try and a drop-goal as Crusaders fought back to beat Wakefield 23-10, but former Canterbury playmaker Daniel Holdsworth's two goals were not enough for Salford as they went down 32-16 to Hull.
