I'm happy on the bench: Learoyd-Lahrs
Canberra representative prop Tom Learoyd-Lahrs says he's happy to cop his demotion to the bench if it's the best thing for the NRL team.
After consecutive losses to Brisbane and Wests Tigers, Raiders coach David Furner has relegated Learoyd-Lahrs and hooker Glen Buttriss to the interchange bench for the match against the Gold Coast at Canberra Stadium on Saturday.
Their places in the starting side have been taken by Dane Tilse and Travis Waddell respectively.
"Obviously I do want to start. I consider myself a starting front rower," Learoyd-Lahrs told reporters.
"But at the moment, for the team coming off losses we need to make some changes. I'm happy to do that."
The international forward said he doesn't think he has been playing poorly.
Learoyd-Lahrs said coming off the bench was not foreign to him as he was used to this role for NSW in State of Origin matches.
