Busted Jennings in Kangaroos squad
Kangaroos selectors have added in-doubt Penrith centre Michael Jennings to their train-on squad for the Four Nations rugby league tournament beginning next month.
Jennings is on crutches with a high ankle sprain and has admitted his chances of playing for Australia are slim.
The 22-year-old lasted just one tackle in Saturday night's 34-12 semi-final loss to the Sydney Roosters.
Jennings is among four Panthers stars added to the squad, which will train in Sydney on Wednesday.
Test veteran Petero Civoniceva, lock Luke Lewis and winger Michael Gordon are also in the squad.
Canberra centre Jarrod Croker has received a boost after the devastation of missing a vital penalty goal in Friday's 26-24 loss to the Wests Tigers.
The 20-year-old has received his first representative chance with a place in the train-on squad, joining Raiders team-mates Josh Dugan, Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, Joel Monaghan and David Shillington.
Penrith's Trent Waterhouse (pectoral) and Canberra's Terry Campese (knee) were not considered due to injury.
Players added to the Australian Four Nations train-on squad on Monday:
Canberra: Jarrod Croker, Josh Dugan, Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, Joel Monaghan, David Shillington.
Penrith: Petero Civoniceva, Michael Gordon, Michael Jennings, Luke Lewis.
