Shillington will return sooner than feared
Canberra prop David Shillington is expected to return in two to four weeks after medical staff ruled an injury to his pectoral muscle is not as bad as originally feared.
Shillington re-injured the muscle in the Raiders' 25-12 NRL win over Parramatta on Saturday night.
"Shillo had some scans last night. It doesn't look as bad as first thought," Canberra coach David Furner said.
Injured fullback Josh Dugan is unlikely to return in Monday night's game against the Sydney Roosters, according to Furner.
"He wasn't even really running before last week," he said.
"We normally get an indication that if they're close like the week before you know that they'd be right for this week. At this point I don't think he'll be right."
Dugan has not been named in the squad while Tom Learoyd-Lahrs has come off the bench into the starting side.
New Zealand Test forward Bronson Harrison remains on the bench.
Raiders squad: Nathan Massey, Blake Ferguson, Jarrod Croker, Joel Thompson, Reece Robinson, Josh McCrone, Sam Williams, Brett White, Alan Tongue (capt), Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, Joe Picker, Josh Papalii, Shaun Fensom. Interchange: Glen Buttriss, Bronson Harrison, Dane Tilse, Trevor Thurling, Josh Miller (one to be omitted).
