Former Fiji captain Rasila dies
Former Fiji rugby captain Isaia Rasila, who represented his country at the 1999 and 2003 World Cups, has died aged 42, a family member said.
Rasila, who played 48 matches including 34 tests at hooker, collapsed on Friday at Rakirakilevu village near Sigatoka and was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.
Doctor Abdul Shah of Sigatoka Hospital confirmed Rasila could not be revived but would not specify the cause of death.
Rasila made his debut for Fiji against Western Samoa in 1992 and was a regular team member for the next 11 years, captaining his country in five matches.
His last test was a 22-20 loss to Scotland in group play at the 2003 World Cup.
