League legend Tyrrell dies at 82
Former Balmain, NSW and Kangaroos forward Tom Tyrrell has died at the age of 82.
Tyrell established himself in Sydney first grade in 1950, played for NSW in 1951-52 and debuted for Australia against New Zealand in 1952.
He was also a member of the 1952-53 Kangaroo tour to England, playing six Tests.
The Australian Rugby League extended its condolences to the Tyrell family.
