Jolly heading to Collingwood
Sydney have agreed on a deal to trade AFL premiership ruckman Darren Jolly to Collingwood.
The Magpies will give up their first round draft pick, No.14, and third round selection, No.46, in exchange for the 27-year-old.
Jolly had asked the Swans to be moved to a Melbourne-based club for family reasons, but Sydney had baulked at the Magpies' initial offer of only their first round pick.
"We weren't going to give Darren away for nothing," Swans coach Paul Roos told SEN radio.
"We could have kept Darren. He had another two years on his contract to go. But to be fair to him and his family, it was best for him to move back to Melbourne."
The Swans have already struck a deal to acquire another ruckman, Mark Seaby, from West Coast.
But they are also chasing Geelong back-up ruckman Shane Mumford.
Roos said 23-year-old Mumford, who missed selection in the Cats' premiership side, was willing to join the Swans.
They now need to agree to trade terms with the Cats.
