Ray Warren to call NRL decider
Long-serving Channel Nine rugby league commentator Ray Warren is set to call Sunday's NRL grand final after overcoming an infection.
Warren, often described as "the voice of rugby league", was fearful of missing calling his first NRL decider in 40 years after being hospitalised and placed on a drip because of prostate-related problem.
But Warren told the Austereo Network's program The Deadset Legends on Saturday that his doctor had given him the all clear to make the call.
"I probably didn't think I'd be saying this today," Warren said.
"A couple of days ago I felt absolute crap."
