Polla-Mounter in comeback for Bulldogs
Former Bulldogs halfback Craig Polla-Mounter will make a comeback for the National Rugby League club this weekend.
Polla-Mounter - who won a premiership with the Bulldogs in 1995 - will play Premier League against Manly on Sunday at Brookvale Oval.
The Bulldogs may use the 32-year-old in first grade this year, depending on his form and injuries to the second-placed club.
He played rugby league for the Nambour Crushers on Queensland's Sunshine Coast last year.
He retired from the NRL in 2001 at the relatively young age of 29 following a string of injuries during his 10-year first grade career.
The Queenslander played in the 1994 grand final loss to Canberra before guiding the Bulldogs to a 17-4 victory over raging hot favourites Manly in the competition decider the following year.
Polla-Mounter showed his class in the Bulldogs' march to the 1998 grand final, which they lost to Brisbane, but was sidelined for most of the 1999 season with a shoulder injury.
The No.7 played 192 first grade games for the Bulldogs before deciding to call it quits at the end of the 2001 season after suffering a sternum injury.
