Jake King accepts one-match suspension
Jake King's best-ever AFL season has ended in disappointing fashion, with the rugged Tigers forward accepting a one-match suspension for striking.
King took the early guilty plea for striking Port Adelaide's Justin Westhoff in Sunday's clash at Etihad Stadium.
With Richmond failing to qualify for the finals, King will miss their opening clash of the 2011 campaign.
The oft-maligned King, 26, has been reinvented as a forward in 2010 under new Richmond coach Damien Hardwick.
He played 15 matches for a career-total of 56.
The tribunal was not required to sit on Tuesday night.
