AFL Tigers re-sign King and Nahas
Richmond have rewarded their two much-improved small forwards Jake King and Robin Nahas with two-year contract extensions.
King, 25, kicked 25 goals from 19 games in 2011.
Nahas was even more effective in front of the big sticks, kicking 29 goals in what was easily his best season at the top level.
"Jake has become a very important player for us, particularly with his forward pressure and his ability to impact the scoreboard," said Richmond general manager of football Craig Cameron.
"He has also developed his leadership skills enormously, and has been a strong influence on our developing playing list."
The 23-year-old Nahas played all 22 games for the Tigers this year, rotating between the forward line and the midfield.
"By his own admission, Robbie realised he needed to work on his fitness base during the pre-season, to give his game an extra dimension," Cameron said.
"It's a credit to him that he has built his endurance to a point where he can impact matches further up the ground, as well as maintaining his effectiveness around goals."
The pair are both tied to the Tigers until at least the end of the 2013 season.
