Kane Cornes signs new contract with Port
A year after being touted for trade, onballer Kane Cornes has signed a new contract with AFL club Port Adelaide.
Cornes, utility Tom Logan and forward Cameron Hitchcock have all inked new deals with the Power.
The 27-year-old Cornes was believed to have been offered for trade last year, but now will likely complete his career at Port.
"To have the opportunity to finish at the club I started at is something that I'm proud of and something I always wanted to achieve," Cornes said on Friday.
Port has not detailed the length of 205-gamer Cornes' new contract, or that of Logan and Hitchcock.
Logan, 25, has played 68 games for the Power since joining the club from Brisbane through the 2006 rookie draft.
Hitchcock, 20, was this year promoted from Port's rookie list and has since played 17 games.
