Agen suspend missing Caucaunibuca
Fijian winger Rupeni Caucaunibuca has been suspended by his French rugby union club Agen after failing to return from holiday for pre-season training.
The 30-year-old Fijian was due back on July 12, but has so far failed to return or get in contact with his club.
In a statement Agen said they had agreed that date with Caucaunibuca before he left on vacation.
"Rupeni Caucaunibuca did not turn up on the fixed date to resume training. Agen has therefore decided to suspend him up to his return to France when the club and the player will look at the various options regarding this situation," the newly promoted Top 14 side added.
Since his arrival in France in 2004, Caucaunibuca has endured a series of highs and lows. He was top try-scorer in 2005 and 2006 but has also suffered a series of injuries and tested positive for cannabis.
