Scots set up England Sevens clash
Scotland has set up a quarter-final clash with England in the IRB World Seven Series after dominating in Edinburgh on Saturday.
England recovered from defeat by Canada to book their place with a 21-21 draw against Pool C winners Australia.
Series leaders Samoa led Argentina and France by points difference to set up their last-eight meeting against the Springboks.
Australia will take on Fiji after coming from 21-0 down to draw against England in their final match.
Hosts Scotland stood up to the pressure of playing at home to score five tries in each of their wins over Fiji, USA and Wales to top their Pool D at Murrayfield.
Scotland began their campaign with an impressive 31-14 victory over Fiji.
Andrew Turnbull grabbed a brace in their 33-12 victory over the USA, while Roddy Grant and Colin Shaw each scored two touchdowns in the final 33-21 group win against Wales.
Scotland head coach Stephen Gemmell told BBC Scotland: "I'm immensely proud of this group of players. We played three quality teams and turned in three quality wins."
New Zealand were the only other team to win all three games in Edinburgh, beating South Africa 24-17 to book a quarter-final against Argentina.
England had lost 26-19 to Canada thanks to Justin Mensah-Coker's last-gasp try but Portugal handed them a lifeline by beating the North Americans.
