Scotland coach Andy Robinson handed recalls to Nick De Luca at centre and Max Evans on the wing, when he named his team for Saturday's Six Nations opener against France at the Stade de France.

They were among three changes in personnel and two further positional changes from the team that narrowly defeated Samoa 19-16 in Aberdeen in the last of the November Test matches.

With Graeme Morrison injured, De Luca returns at inside centre with Joe Ansbro playing outside him, while Evans will play on the right wing in place of Sean Lamont.

Scotland will travel to Paris in search of a first tournament win in the French capital since they won the final Five Nations Championship title in 1999 - their only win over France at the Stade de France to date.

In the pack, captain Alastair Kellock joins Glasgow team-mate Richie Gray in the second row and Nathan Hines starts at flanker.

Johnnie Beattie, who missed the autumn internationals following shoulder surgery, has not been selected in the matchday 22, leaving Hines at blindside, Kelly Brown at number eight and John Barclay at openside flanker.

Richie Vernon, who drops out of the starting lineup, and Ross Rennie take the back row replacement places.
