Krakouer a chance to return for Port
Port Adelaide defender Nathan Krakouer is a chance to return from injury for Saturday's AFL match in Darwin.
The eighth-placed Power face Melbourne in a nominal home game for the Demons in Darwin, with Krakouer to face a fitness test later this week.
The rebounding defender has missed three of the past four matches, including Port's loss to Carlton on Sunday, with a groin injury.
After being steamrolled in the last quarter by the Blues, Port will adopt a refreshing regime in preparation for the Darwin fixture.
"I'd say it would be a bit of a lighter week," Power captain Domenic Cassisi said on Monday.
"It has been a short turnaround, so we head up there Friday and train up there and acclimatise a bit to their weather."
Port has played frequently in Darwin in recent years and Cassisi has hopes that experience can provide an edge over the Demons.
"We have been up there quite often over the last few years so we know what to expect," he said.
"It helps a little bit, knowing what to expect once we get there and a bit used to the surroundings.
"But in saying that we have probably got a fair few guys who are going there for the first time as well, so we will talk to them about what to expect when we do get to Darwin and make sure that we are really well prepared."
Cassisi said Port players were stung by the defeat to Carlton, who came from three goals down late in the third term to win by 26 points.
"We had a few opportunities to extend our lead when we had it, but we didn't go back and kick our goals," he said.
"... Unless you do that you are just giving them an opportunity to come back and Carlton did that."
