McCrone signs new Raiders deal
Exciting Canberra halfback Josh McCrone has ended speculation about his future with the NRL club by signing a new two-year contract until the end of the 2012 season.
McCrone was off contract at the end of this year but agreed a new deal, despite his name being linked with a move to Canterbury.
"I'm elated to be extending with the club and to have my future secured for the next two seasons beyond this one is great," McCrone, 23, said.
"I'm enjoying my footy and I know the team is starting to play well together and were all working really hard on getting to the top eight at the end of the year."
Raiders Coach David Furner said he was delighted to have the Temora junior on hand for another two seasons.
"Josh plays a certain style of footy which suits the team," Furner said.
"Josh has the ability to break the line or set up a try."
