Young Reds prop to get starting debut
Canberra-product Jack Kennedy will make his Super 14 rugby starting debut for the Queensland Reds against the Brumbies in his old hometown on Saturday night.
Kennedy has replaced the injured Laurie Weeks at tighthead prop in the only change to the Reds side which beat the Stormers 16-13 last weekend.
Weeks sustained a foot injury against the Stormers, paving the way for youngster Kennedy who gets the start ahead of Greg Holmes.
Fourth-placed Queensland will also be without lock Van Humphries (ankle) and winger Rod Davies (hamstring) who had hoped to return from injury.
"They are all desperate to get back onto the field but they are not right," said Reds coach Ewen McKenzie.
The Reds travel to Canberra never having beaten the Brumbies at home and only winning once in their 15 Super rugby encounters.
McKenzie made one change to the Reds bench with centre Ben Tapuai called in.
