Warriors youngsters facing lengthy bans
Two Warriors Toyota Cup forwards are each facing nine-match bans over a dangerous throw which left Manly youngster Birrigan Young with a badly dislocated shoulder.
John Palavi and Sebastine Ikahihifo were both hit with grade five dangerous throw charges after dumping Young on his head in the 22nd minute of Sunday's Toyota Cup clash at Mt Smart Stadium.
Palavi and Ikahihifo can both reduce their ban to six matches with early guilty pleas, with the grade five charge the stiffest penalty available to match reviewers other than for cases which are referred straight to the judiciary.
Young's injury will be re-assessed in eight weeks, but the front rower has been told he is unlikely to play again this season.
The 19-year-old had impressed Sea Eagles officials after coming to the club as a trialist in the pre-season.
