Longmuir on coaching staff at Dockers
Former Fremantle ruckman Justin Longmuir has joined the AFL club's coaching ranks as a ruck and development mentor.
Longmuir played 139 games for the Dockers over nine years at the club but was forced to hang up the boots in 2007 due to a degenerative knee injury.
He takes over the ruck coach duties from Earl Spalding, who quit the role due to business and family reasons.
"In addition to his responsibilities as ruck coach, Justin will undertake a development role with our key position players," football operations manager Chris Bond said.
"He is a welcome addition to our coaching team and is ideally positioned to perform in this role.
"The club is grateful to Earl for his invaluable contribution as our ruck coach and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
