Archer back at Roos as part-time coach
North Melbourne legend Glenn Archer will return to the AFL club as a part-time assistant coach for the Kangaroos in 2010.
Archer, who retired at the end of 2007 after playing more than 300 AFL games, will work closely with former teammate Brett Allison as the duo help develop the club's young defenders.
"We welcome Arch back with open arms and are thrilled he has decided to join us in this capacity," said chief of football Donald McDonald.
"If a little bit of Glenn Archer can be instilled into members of our playing list the rewards will be plentiful for this club."
In other club news the highly regarded Jon Haines will take up a new role as player development manager.
Haines joins the club after working for the West Australian Football Commission as a high performance manager.
