Tippett to stay in Adelaide nest
Adelaide spearhead Kurt Tippett has rejected the overtures of the Gold Coast AFL club to re-sign with the Crows for a further three years.
Tippett's retention was announced by Adelaide club chairman Rob Chapman at the outset of the Crows' end of season awards night.
The Gold Coast expansion club was intent on signing Queensland-raised Tippett, one of the league's most promising forwards.
However Tippett has gradually leaned closer to staying beyond the 2010 conclusion of his current deal.
He is clearly keen to taste premiership success with the team that first recruited him to AFL ranks.
Midfielder Bernie Vince took out the Crows' club champion award from small forward Jason Porplyzia.
Hard-working midfielder Brad Symes was named best team man.
