Crows' Tippett to miss Hawks' clash
Adelaide star forward Kurt Tippett will miss Saturday night's opening round AFL clash with Hawthorn.
The talented big man has not played since injuring an ankle in a practice match in early March.
The Crows on Monday ruled him out for AAMI Stadium clash, after putting him through a fitness test on Sunday.
Tippett was back in a moon boot and aiming to be ready for the round two meeting with Fremantle, the club said.
Tippett was Adelaide's top goal-kicker last season.
Fellow forward Ricky Henderson also remains in doubt for the opening round.
Henderson played a SANFL practice match on Saturday, his first game since being knocked out a fortnight earlier.
But he copped a corked thigh, leaving the Crows uncertain whether he can face Hawthorn.
Ex-Carlton ruckman Sam Jacobs is expected to miss the first two rounds with a hamstring injury, while Jared Petrenko (abdomen) is also unavailable to play the Hawks.
