Carvell called up by England
England have drafted Garreth Carvell into their Four Nations rugby league squad as a replacement for his injured Warrington Wolves teammate Adrian Morley.
The 30-year-old prop boarded a flight to New Zealand from Manchester on Monday morning (AEST) and is scheduled to join England at their hotel in Wellington on Tuesday afternoon.
Carvell had been a member of England's train-on squad for the Four Nations and played in the England team that drew 18-18 with Cumbria at Whitehaven a fortnight ago.
Morley was forced to withdraw from the Four Nations after suffering a ruptured bicep in his right arm during England's 18-18 draw with New Zealand Maori in Auckland on Saturday.
He is expected to fly home for surgery later this week. No decision on who will replace him as England captain has yet been taken.
England play the opening match of the tournament against New Zealand at Wellington on Saturday.
