Western Sydney set for NRL showdown
Friday night's NRL blockbuster between western Sydney rivals Parramatta and Penrith appears certain to be a sellout with just over 5,000 tickets remaining for the Parramatta Stadium clash.
With the finals hopes of both clubs hinging on the result, pre-sales and public interest in the match have been high with Eels chief executive Paul Osborne warning fans not to wait until game day to secure seats.
"This is our fastest selling match in a number of years and we want to give all our supporters the best possible chance to see what will be an outstanding game of rugby league," Osborne said.
"The message we are sending is clear - don't delay."
The Eels also announced that NRL junior pass and NRL season pass holders would not be granted entry to the match due to the high demand for tickets.
Parramatta (ninth) and Penrith (eighth) are both on 27 competition points heading into the contest with the winner of Friday night's match all but confirming a top eight finish while the loser is likely to struggle to secure a finals berth.
