Full houses assured for Ashes series
Australia and England are assured of playing in front of full houses when they contest the Ashes next summer after tickets to the Test cricket series were snapped up.
The first four days of the Sydney, Adelaide and Perth Test matches sold out soon after general public tickets went on sale.
The first four days to the third Test at the WACA Ground sold out in 35 minutes, the first four days of the fifth Test at the SCG sold out in 40 minutes and the first four days of the second Test at the Adelaide Oval sold out inside two hours.
Tickets to the fifth day at Adelaide are still on sale, but fifth-day tickets in Perth and Sydney will not go on sale until during the matches and depend on whether the matches go the distance.
Quick sales are also expected on Tuesday, when general public tickets go on sale in Brisbane for the first Test, and in Melbourne on Wednesday, when tickets go on sale for the fourth Test.
Tickets to limited overs clashes throughout Australia are still on sale.
