Record-breakers St Helens beat Bulls
Former New Zealand Warriors winger Francis Meli scored two tries as leaders St Helens set a new Super League record for consecutive away wins with a 44-18 victory at Bradford Bulls on Sunday.
Meli grabbed Saints first and last tries in their 16th successive win on the road but they didn't have it all their own way as they inflicted revenge on the Bulls.
Steve McNamara's men had beaten the leaders at Knowsley Road earlier in the season and looked set for a double when they led 14-4 through tries from NRL journeyman Glenn Morrison and Rikki Sherriffe.
But Saints responded with 24 unanswered points before the break, which included a try for ex-Sydney Roosters second-row Chris Flannery.
And the result was put beyond doubt in the second period thanks to tries from Maurie Fa'asavalu, former Penrith prop Tony Puletua and Meli.
Elsewhere, Danny Buderus scored his first try for Leeds Rhinos as they ran riot in a 48-14 win at Harlequins on Saturday to stay in second place in the table.
The former Australia hooker was one of eight try scorers as the Rhinos bounced back from their shock defeat to Quins at Headingley in April.
Former Manly winger Scott Donald and New Zealand full-back Brent Webb, who had an outstanding game, were also on the scoresheet.
Captain Kevin Sinfield landed eight goals in a personal haul of 20 points while NRL imports Chad Randall and David Howell crossed for Quins.
Hull KR ended their two-match losing run with a 32-18 success at plucky Celtic Crusaders.
Former Newcastle Knights second-row Clint Newton bagged two of the tries with ex-Canberra Raiders scrum-half Michael Dobson scoring a try and four goals.
Damien Quinn, Lincoln Withers and Ryan O'Hara kept Celtic in the hunt but Rovers were worthy winners.
More than 18,000 fans saw Warrington come from behind to beat Catalans Dragons 24-12 in the first-ever Super League match in Spain.
Tries from former Canberra second-row Jason Croker and Cyril Stacul gave the Dragons a 10-6 lead at the break in Barcelona.
But the Wolves hit back through ex-Australia centre Matt King, Chris Riley and Jon Clarke in the second period to take control while ex-Penrith utility back Chris Hicks landed four conversions.
Castleford Tigers helped coach Terry Matterson celebrate his new two-year deal in style as they ended their five-match losing run at Huddersfield.
Ex-Cronulla centre Ryan McGoldrick scored one of the Tigers' two tries before former St George half-back Rangi Chase secured the 13-6 win, their first at the Giants in five years, with a late drop-goal.
Hull survived a late onslaught from Salford City Reds in their 14-12 win at the KC Stadium.
England winger Gareth Raynor gave Hull an early lead before Salford replied through New Zealand stand-off Jeremy Smith.
Ex-Brisbane Broncos back Motu Tony restored Hull's lead with Danny Tickle's left boot adding six points.
On-loan Wigan youngster Darrell Goulding set up a nervy finish when he scored Salford's second but Hull held on to ease the pressure on under-fire coach Richard Agar.
