Dogs ready to hit straps against NZ
The Bulldogs will take a new sponsor, an outstanding record and a thirst for revenge into Friday night's NRL game against the NZ Warriors in Wellington.
The Bulldogs and Warriors haven't met since last year's semi-final series, when the NZ side dismantled the `Dogs 48-22 at the Sydney Showground.
Francis Meli was the Warriors hero on that occasion - scoring five tries - and the blockbusting winger makes an ominous return from a hamstring injury at WestpacTrust Stadium.
"I haven't thought about the five tries last year," Meli said.
But the Bulldogs have and they won't be making the same mistake again.
"We'll hopefully turn up and play really well," coach Steve Folkes said.
"We need to concentrate on getting our game in order. We won't worry too much about them."
The Bulldogs have history on their side.
The club has a near-flawless record at WestpacTrust Stadium against the Warriors - two wins and a draw from three matches.
They'll also be armed with a new backer.
