Magpies' Travis Cloke in shooting drama
Police are investigating a gunshot that was fired into the home of Collingwood AFL star Travis Cloke.
A single bullet shattered an upstairs window in the home Cloke shares with his parents Julie and David, a former player with Richmond and Collingwood.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the incident was reported on May 13 and was being investigated, but she said it was unclear when the shot was fired.
Collingwood chief executive Gary Pert assured fans the forward was fine.
"I would like to respond to supporter concerns and advise that Travis is fit and well," Pert said in a statement on Thursday.
"Travis has given the club ongoing updates but has not required counselling support.
"The club will continue to support the Cloke family as they deal with the appropriate authorities."
The scare comes after Cloke was assaulted by a group of men on Queensland's Sunshine Coast on New Year's Eve.
He suffered injuries to his cheekbone and jaw and had several teeth broken, and his father David recently admitted his son, 22, still bore some mental scars from the attack.
The man charged with the assault later died in a motorcycle crash.
But Travis Cloke has since insisted the bashing had no bearing on his lean start to the season.
The big forward managed just seven goals in seven games and is currently sidelined by a hamstring injury.
Police are also investigating a possible link between the gunshot and a spiteful note that was left in the family's letterbox, and believed to slander Cloke's sister, the Herald Sun newspaper reported.
