Hargrave pleads guilty to umpire contact
Western Bulldogs defender Ryan Hargrave has pleaded guilty to negligently making contact with an umpire and accepted a fine of $1950.
Had Hargrave chosen to challenge the report at the AFL Tribunal and lost he would have received a larger fine.
The incident occurred when Hargrave made contact with field umpire Justin Schmitt during Monday's win over Richmond at Etihad Stadium.
Collingwood defender Heath Shaw was suspended for one match on Monday night after pleading guilty to the more serious charge of making intentional contact with an umpire.
