Rooster Sa passes fitness test
Sydney Roosters centre Setaimata Sa has passed a fitness test on his injured hip and is expected to play in Friday night's NRL semi-final against the New Zealand Warriors.
Sa was put through a searching examination by Roosters training staff before the New Zealand international re-joined his teammates for his first training run of the week.
Thursday's session at Mt Smart Stadium was the club's final run before the elimination battle, with the Warriors to train at the ground later in the day.
Sa's inclusion is likely to see 21-year-old utility Rory Kostjasyn denied an NRL debut, though Roosters coach Brad Fittler was keeping his cards close to his chest in regards to the final make-up of the side.
"It's all decided, I can't give you too much," Fittler said.
"Setaimata looked like he pulled up all right. Given that nothing extraordinary happens over tonight he should play."
Asked what Sa added to the side, Fittler said: "He's an international ... he just gives us a bit more confidence and the blokes like playing with him."
New dad Amos Roberts is expected to start on the wing ahead of Brent Grose.
