Polack makes surprise visit to training
Richmond defender Graham Polak has paid a surprise visit to the AFL club's training session on eve of their big game against top side Geelong.
Polak finally went home this week from rehabilitation as he recovers from the brain injuries suffered several weeks ago when he was hit by a Melbourne tram.
Richmond assistant coach Brian Royal said Polak's visit was a great morale boost for the Tigers.
"It's fantastic, we were a bit surprised," Royal said.
"We knew that Graham had got out of hospital on Wednesday, but for Graham to walk into the club was overwhelming for the players."
Polak was signing autographs and thoroughly enjoyed his visit to training, but he did not speak to the media.
The club emphasised he still has a long way to go in his rehabilitation and there is no way he will play again this season.
