Polak yet to weigh up future
Richmond key-position player Graham Polak says he's yet to make a decision on whether he continues his AFL career following his clash of heads with an opponent.
Polak was knocked out while playing for Coburg in the opening minute of Saturday's VFL game when he and Werribee's Mitch Thorp flew for a mark and clashed heads in mid-air.
The incident immediately raised concern for Polak given he suffered a brain injury when hit by a tram two years ago.
Polak, 26, said on Monday he had recovered well from the clash, after he was sent home at half-time and told to rest.
But he admitted he and the Tigers would this week discuss his footballing future.
"We haven't come to any decision with what's happening with me yet, but no doubt in the next couple of days we'll sort it out," he told reporters.
Polak said his partner was "really scared" when she saw the incident, but that he had recovered well.
"I saw (a replay of) the incident the other day and considering how bad it looked I feel really good," he said.
Richmond will assess Polak this week before they determine whether he can play in the VFL next weekend.
After he recovered from his brain injury, Polak returned to the AFL for the last two games of the 2009 season.
But he has played only three games this year, the last the win over Port Adelaide in round 10.
