Connor could be Reds' lucky No.13
The Queensland Reds have signed Australian under-20 and Sevens speedster Blair Connor to a two-year Super 14 contract.
Connor, who plays wing and centre, has been developed through Brisbane club Norths and the Reds system, impressing for the Queensland Academy this year.
"He showed during last year's Australian Rugby Championship and in Trinity Premier Rugby this year that he's an exciting player and a tough little rooster," said Reds high-performance manager Ben Whitaker.
Connor, the leading try-scorer in Premier Rugby with nine, gives the Reds cover at outside centre if they lose incumbent No.13 Morgan Turinui overseas.
He will leave for Canberra next week to prepare for the inaugural (Under 20) IRB Junior World Championship to be held in Wales in June.
