Brisbane winger sent for swine flu test
Brisbane winger Antonio Winterstein has been told to go to hospital to be tested for swine flu less than an hour after NRL officials announced Friday night's NRL clash with the Bulldogs would proceed.
Brisbane fullback Karmichael Hunt became the second rugby league player to be confirmed as having swine flu on Friday.
Winterstein told Queensland Health officials monitoring the health of Brisbane players quarantined since Tuesday he was displaying symptoms of swine flu.
After Hunt tested positive, Winterstein was advised to go to Logan hospital to be tested.
Brisbane are furious the NRL has decided to go ahead with Friday night's game with their players unable to train since Monday.
If Winterstein tests positive it raises the question whether other players involved in Friday night's game may have swine flu.
