Lawrence to stay with NRL Tigers
Boom West Tigers centre Chris Lawrence will remain at the NRL club until the end of the 2011 season after agreeing to a two-year contract extension.
Lawrence, 19, was signed until the end of 2009, but the Tigers moved to lock-up the promising youngster on Thursday following interest from rival NRL clubs.
Lawrence has played 23 games for the Tigers after making his first-grade debut while still at school against Brisbane in 2006.
In that time he has scored 20 tries and is considered a contender for a City-Origin spot in the opening representative game next month.
