Davenport faces Clijsters in adidas
American Lindsay Davenport will be looking to register her first tournament win since a major knee operation a year ago when she plays Kim Clijsters in the final of the adidas International.
The sixth-seeded American downed Russian Tatiana Panova 6-3 7-5 to set up a showdown against the Belgian who dispatched compatriot Justine Henin-Hardenne 6-2 6-3.
Davenport has been on the comeback trail since July and will be looking to seal her second title here in six finals.
Meanwhile Korean qualifier Hyung Taik Lee will be after a maiden ATP tour title when he takes on Juan Carlos Ferrero in the men's final.
Lee has had a sublime tournament with a little bit of good luck thrown in to boot.
The 85th-ranked Korean downed big serving American Andy Roddick in a second round match, got a walkover when top seed Marat Safin withdrew with a shoulder injury but was all class in his straight sets semi-final win over South African Wayne Ferreira.
Ferrero, the second seed here, has been in good touch, starting with a three set win over Australian Jaymon Crabb followed by high quality victories over Russian Mikhail Youzhny and Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan.
