Rugby star involved in taxi incident
Waratahs prop Matt Dunning could face disciplinary action from the New South Wales Rugby Union after he was reportedly involved in an incident in which a taxi was damaged early on Sunday morning.
A complaint was lodged with police against Dunning by a taxi driver over damage to a door hinge on his vehicle.
The incident occurred outside the Concord Hotel, who contacted Dunning when police inquired about the events of Sunday morning outside the premises.
The 27-year-old Test prop has since been in touch with detectives and the owner of the taxi.
"I had an accident on Saturday night with the hinge on a cab door," Dunning told Fairfax newspapers.
"I've had a chat with the owner of the cab and both me and the owner agree it's an accident and we've resolved it."
However, Dunning is expected to front a Waratahs disciplinary committee and could be fined or suspended.
