Draw likely at the WACA
Zimbabwe will be after early wickets to give their batsmen some precious practice in the third and final day of the tour cricket match against Western Australia at the WACA.
WA will resume on 6-207, 123 behind Zimbabwe's first innings 330, with Peter Worthington on 30 and Beau Casson on seven.
Zimbabwe allrounder Andy Blignaut starred with both bat and ball on Saturday, making 57 and grabbing two late wickets.
While a result is unlikely, Western Australian captain Mike Hussey was hopeful the Warriors could get close to the tourists' total and that Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak might make a generous declaration.
But that seems unlikely, with the Zimbabwean top order in desperate need of batting practice for the first Test against Australia, starting on Thursday.
"I think the main thing for us is to get some time out in the middle there and for the guys to get accustomed to the conditions," Streak said.
"I think with the wicket drying out it's going to be a little closer to what we're going to see in the Test match."
